A wholly owned project company of Mitsubishi Corporation to charter the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and provide tolling services to Gas Shippers.

Project Objectives

The TABEER LNG PROJECT is an integrated LNG supply project that seeks to build a terminal at Port Qasim, Karachi for the import and regasification of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Pakistan. The project will be constructed in a phased manner.
PHASE I: The first phase will see the project capacity handling and processing 750 MMCFD of gas supplies as a base-load and 1,000 MMCFD or 1 BCFD as peak gas out; the second phase will, subject to market demand, regulatory permissions and commercial alignment, envision scaling up to 2 BCFD of supply capability.
PHASE II: The import and regasification LNG terminal of the Pakistan LNG Project will be constructed off-shore. Tabeer Energy estimates to offload approximately 100-120 cargoes per year from LNG Cargo Vessels onto a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) through a Ship-to-Ship transfer. The LNG will be vaporized aboard the FSRU and transported as RLNG to the national grid with the aid of the project’s marine to shore pipeline
