OUR OBJECTIVES

Tabeer LNG Project is a full scale LNG supply project which foresees an establishment of a terminal at Port Qasim, Karachi. This terminal will harness the import and regasification of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) nationwide. The construction of this terminal will be laid in phases with completion of major on-field spots on time.

PROJECT COMPONENTS

The Tabeer LNG Project envisions three main components*:
A. Jetty & Interface Hardware Construction/Operation: A simplified description is: • marine and on shore pipelines to be connected to the existing gas pipeline grid, • off shore service platforms and jetties allowing a safe berthing of the FSRU • vessels and an LNG cargo vessel to discharge LNG, • Auxiliary service units on top of service platforms and shore.
B. Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) Operation: The Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) is a pre-built, ready to operate floating LNG terminal. Once it is docked to the hardware as stated in (A) above, it stores LNG transferred from incoming cargo vessels, re-gasifies stored LNG and compresses it into the pipeline. This hardware shall be procured by Tabeer Energy under a long term charter or lease arrangement.
C. LNG Supply and RLNG Sales: Our marketing wing will perform the specific function of importing LNG, contracting pipeline capacity with the in-country pipeline operators and selling Regasified LNG (RLNG) to buyers in the downstream natural gas market of Pakistan. *all of the above shall be built in compliance with the OGRA (Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority) rules and regulations and with the express permission of authorities that include and are not limited to Ministry of Energy (MoE), Port Qasim Authority(PQA), Ministry of Defense(MoD), Ministry of Ports & Shipping, etc.
